American centre-back Jesi Rossman will add “presence” to Glasgow City after signing a two-year contract with the club, says head coach Leanne Ross.

The defender joins City from Portuguese side SCU Torreense, where she lifted the Portuguese Super Cup.

She delivered a standout performance in the victory that secured the trophy, assisting her side’s opening goal and scoring the winner.

“I’m so excited to sign with Glasgow City,” Rossman said. “It’s an incredible club with an amazing history and I can’t wait to get started.”

Head coach Ross added: “Jesi will add further competition to our defensive unit. She brings presence both in terms of her stature and in the way she plays the game.

“She is another player who comes into the squad with a proven track record of success from her time at both Athlone Town and in Portugal with SCU Torreense.”
