Kortrijk Signs Forward Goduine Koyalipou on Loan from Lens
Kortrijk has secured the signing of 26-year-old forward Goduine Koyalipou from Lens on a season-long loan. Koyalipou, who had previously played for Beveren, returns to Belgian football with the club having negotiated a purchase option included in the agreement. The Central African Republic international is expected to bolster Kortrijk’s attacking options, despite not replicating his earlier success with Beveren and CSKA Sofia in recent times.
Koyalipou rose through the ranks of the Niort youth system before transferring to Swiss side Lausanne in 2021 on a free transfer. In 2023, he moved to Beveren after scoring four goals in 25 appearances, alongside a successful loan at Avranches where he netted 13 goals in 19 games. His lone season in Belgium proved fruitful; during the 2023/2024 season, he scored 17 goals in 32 matches, leading to a move to CSKA Sofia.
Though Koyalipou’s stint in Bulgaria lasted just six months, it was marked by an impressive 15 goals in 17 games. He subsequently joined Lens in January 2025. However, he faced challenges in securing a consistent spot in the Lens lineup, contributing four goals in 15 appearances. Following this, he was loaned out for the 2025/2026 season, first to Levante in La Liga, where he scored two goals in four matches, and then to Angers, scoring two goals in 13 appearances.
