Roma have decided to shift gears in the transfer market, and the name they’re working most hard on these days is Crysencio Summerville.

The Giallorossi had shown interest in the Dutchman before the World Cup, and in recent weeks, after a period of stagnation, he was re-introduced: he’s their first choice for the attack.

According to Matteo Moretto, the Roman club is negotiating to find a deal to gift the 2001-born player to Gian Piero Gasperini.

However, an agreement between the club and the player is currently pending: only once the striker’s “yes” is received will discussions with West Ham begin.

The deal is reportedly worth around €45 million. Summerville would be the top player Roma intends to build their attack around, and the Giallorossi would add a player who already has a strong understanding with Donyell Malen.

The Roman club doesn’t intend to wait long: the deadline for the deal is Tuesday, July 21st.
