As reported by Defensa Central, the Spanish club intends to allocate the funds from a potential sale of Camavinga to facilitate a move for the Ballon d’Or-winning midfielder.

The report indicates that Jose Mourinho has identified Rodri as the ideal player to enhance Real Madrid’s midfield, voicing admiration for his performances and leadership shown at the FIFA World Cup.
Despite Mourinho’s support, the proposal has not found full backing within the club.

According to the report, there exists significant debate within the boardroom regarding whether Rodri is the appropriate player to warrant another substantial investment.
While some board members align with Mourinho’s recommendation, others express reservations, leaving the ultimate decision to club president Florentino Perez.

The report asserts that Real Madrid would only entertain the idea of signing Rodri if they can secure approximately €60 million from the sale of Eduardo Camavinga.

Nonetheless, Camavinga himself is not actively seeking an exit. The France international remains committed to his contract until 2029 and aims to fight for his position amidst growing competition.
His commitment lies in competing for a spot on the team rather than pursuing an alternative option.
Reports suggest that only two circumstances could alter this decision: if Mourinho makes it clear that Camavinga is not part of the club’s long-term vision or if an appealing proposal comes from another leading European team.
At this time, neither of these possibilities has materialized.
