Real Madrid’s Pursuit of Liverpool’s Alexis Mac Allister Sees No Progress
Real Madrid’s ongoing search for midfield reinforcements continues to stir speculation, yet one of the club’s consistent targets remains further from joining the Santiago Bernabeu this summer.
Liverpool midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has been linked with a move to the Spanish capital after another remarkable campaign. However, new comments from his father have dampened rumors suggesting that negotiations are underway.

While Real Madrid holds a strong admiration for the Argentina international, the latest update indicates there has been no direct contact between the two parties, keeping any possible deal within mere speculation.
Mac Allister’s Father Denies Real Madrid Rumors
Carlos Mac Allister, father of Alexis, spoke to 365Scores (h/t Mundo Deportivo), firmly denying any claims that discussions have occurred with Real Madrid.
“We have not spoken to any Real Madrid officials; the rumours circulating that we are in talks with Real Madrid are not true,” he stated.

He also emphasized the midfielder’s ongoing commitment to Liverpool, clarifying that there has been no alteration in the player’s immediate plans.
“Alexis still has two seasons left on his contract with Liverpool.”
“For now, he’ll take a few days’ rest and then return to play in the Premier League; that’s the current situation.”
Real Madrid Values the Liverpool Midfielder
Despite the repudiation of rumors, Real Madrid’s appreciation for Mac Allister has not diminished.

The World Cup-winning midfielder has drawn the club’s attention over time due to his technical skills, tactical acuity, and ability to dominate games.

Nonetheless, admiration alone cannot facilitate a transfer. Liverpool regards Mac Allister as a cornerstone of their squad, complicating any potential negotiations even if Real Madrid formalizes their interest.
Financial factors also play a significant role, as the Spanish giants focus on player sales before pursuing new signings.
Thus, there is currently no sign that discussions between the clubs have moved beyond existing interests.
