Rodriguez will don the number 16 shirt and will compete for playing time with Daphne van Domselaar and Anneke Borbe, both of whom faced injury issues last season.
“I’m so proud to join this great club. Arsenal is one of the top clubs in the world and I’m really excited to be part of the team and take on this new challenge,” Rodriguez stated.
“I want to help us compete for trophies and make more history, together with our supporters.”
Throughout her six years at Real Madrid, Rodriguez made a club-record 215 appearances and was appointed captain last year.
After making her senior international debut in 2021, she has earned 34 caps for Spain, including three as her team won the 2023 Women’s World Cup, although she has since lost her starting spot to Barcelona’s Cata Coll.

Arsenal have been active in the transfer market as they gear up for the 2026-27 Women’s Super League season, with Georgia Stanway, Ona Batlle, Selina Cerci, Geraldine Reuteler, and Lisa Baum also joining Renee Slegers’ squad.
Last season, the team finished second in the WSL and reached the semi-finals of the Women’s Champions League.
