But in Rio de Janeiro, in a postponed match from the fourth round, Botafogo and Vitória drew 0-0.

The match at Nilton Santos Stadium also brought an end to the main transfer “saga” in Brazilian football at the start of this mid-year window.

That’s because Danilo took the field for Glorioso and reached the maximum number of matches for the team, preventing a transfer to another Serie A club (Palmeiras and Flamengo were in the race).

Now, Flamengo and Mirassol are the only teams that still have not completed 19 matches, but the CBF has not yet scheduled a date for the game, also valid for the fourth round.

The 19th round of the Brasileirão, which marked the teams’ return after the break for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, was especially positive for Corinthians, Cruzeiro and Botafogo, who each climbed three places compared to the previous round.

São Paulo and Atlético-MG, meanwhile, went in the opposite direction, dropping four places compared to the standings after Round 18.

Coritiba also fell three spots in the overall table.

In the G-4, Athletico-PR took third place from Fluminense and, in the Z-4, Mirassol moved Remo into second-from-bottom.
