Vincenzo Italiano remains hopeful about convincing Vlahovic, especially as negotiations advance to sign free agent Mohamed Salah.

The Serbian international’s previous contract expired on June 30, and he has been offered a new contract in Turin at a significantly lower salary, but he is waiting to see if better offers become available.

Besiktas are the most determined to lock him down and are about to have one more reason to persuade Vlahovic.

As if the contract worth €8m per season plus bonuses was not enough, they could give him the opportunity to be teammates with former Liverpool star Salah.

The Egyptian international is also a free agent and currently in advanced discussions to finalize a contract worth €10m per season plus add-ons.

The delay in negotiations is attributed to his agent’s reported request for €7.5m in commission. However, Yagiz Sabuncuoglu asserts that the demand has now been reduced to a more acceptable figure.

Once Salah’s signing is confirmed, Besiktas will concentrate fully on swaying Vlahovic.
