Fiorentina Pursues Joao Mario on Loan from Juventus
Fiorentina are making concerted efforts to secure Joao Mario on loan from Juventus, with an option to buy for a total fee of approximately €9 million.
The full-back has experienced difficulty making an impact since his €12 million transfer from FC Porto in the summer of 2025.

As part of that agreement, Porto is entitled to a 10 percent cut of the profit from a future sale, which would not apply in this case as his value has declined.

However, neither club opted to finalize the deal, resulting in Joao Mario’s return to Turin.
According to Sky Sport Italia transfer expert Gianluca Di Marzio, discussions are progressing for him to stay in Serie A with Fiorentina.
It is anticipated that the arrangement will be a loan with the option to buy at the end of the season for a total fee of €8-9 million.
The 26-year-old made only 13 appearances for Juventus, contributing one assist, before moving to Bologna where he played an additional 15 games and scored two goals.
