Napoli Approaches Transfer of Romelu Lukaku to Fenerbahce

Serie A club Napoli is close to finalizing the sale of striker Romelu Lukaku, with Turkish powerhouse Fenerbahce moving forward in the transfer process.

Relations between Lukaku and the Naples club soured towards the end of the season, leading to the realization that he would not fit into their future plans, even with Max Allegri taking over for Antonio Conte.

Tuttomercatoweb reports that Lukaku has agreed to personal terms with Fenerbahce, set at €10 million per season. As he has shown a willingness to make the move, the only factor holding up the transfer remains Napoli’s asking price.

Napoli seeks €12 million, which can be settled in two installments, while Fenerbahce has only proposed €8 million thus far.

The Turkish club is eager to reach a resolution quickly, and few obstacles are expected once Napoli consents to the arrangement.

    Napoli Justifies Their Price Tag

When Napoli secured Lukaku’s permanent transfer from Chelsea, they spent €30 million. Chelsea retains a 40% stake in any future sale, which likely explains Napoli’s refusal to compromise on their asking price.

Having previously enjoyed success in Serie A with Lukaku, the club’s position is logical. They also aim to avoid a significant financial loss, indicating that Fenerbahce may need to increase their offer soon.

Serie A side Napoli are nearing the sale of Romelu Lukaku, with Turkish giants Fenerbahce closing in on a transfer.

The Belgian was at odds with the Naples club towards the end of the campaign and soon, it became clear he wasn’t going to be part of their plans, even if Max Allegri came in as a replacement for Antonio Conte.

Tuttomercatoweb report that the Belgian has given an approval to joining Fenerbahce. He has reached an agreement over personal terms worth €10 million per season. After the striker responded positively, it is Napoli’s demands that are simply delaying the transfer.

They want €12 million which can be paid in a maximum of two installments, with Fenerbahce only offering €8 million so far.

Fener want to quickly find an agreement and there are not expected to be too many hassles, once Napoli give their approval to the deal.

    Napoli right to demand high

When Napoli signed Lukaku permanently from Chelsea, they paid the Blues €30 million to sign him. Chelsea also hold a 40% resale value and that is probably why the Partenopei do not want to lower their demands.

Since Lukaku won the Serie A with them not too long ago though, their stance does make sense. They would also not want to incur a major capital loss and Fenerbahce may have to definitely pay more soon.
