Deco and the club’s sporting department have no plans to pursue the Swedish midfielder, even though his name has recently resurfaced.

This marks a significant contrast to a few years back, when Barcelona expressed strong interest in signing the young talent.

With the player’s camp actively seeking an opportunity to leave, Barcelona has clarified that they will not consider making a move.

Fast forward two years, and despite Bergvall’s struggles to make a significant impact at Spurs, Barcelona remains disinterested in revisiting the option.

This reluctance stems from Barcelona’s current strategic focus. The club aims to land Rodri from Manchester City to strengthen their midfield, especially with Frenkie de Jong out due to injury. They are also pursuing striker Julian Alvarez.

Given these larger ambitions and financial limitations, a transfer for Bergvall does not fit into Barcelona’s plans for this summer.

For the Swedish player, the search for a new opportunity continues.
