Headline: Jamie O’Hara Calls on Tottenham to Pursue Marcus Rashford Transfer

Former Tottenham Hotspur player Jamie O’Hara has encouraged his old club to consider acquiring Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford. Speaking on the Sky Sports’ Tottenham summer special podcast, O’Hara expressed his confusion over Spurs’ lack of interest in the talented striker.

“I just don’t know why we [Tottenham] don’t go for Marcus Rashford. I really think that Spurs should just go, how much do you want? How much can we get him for? I know he’s on £350,000 a week, and obviously Spurs potentially can’t afford that, but he’s such a brilliant player,” O’Hara stated.

He continued, “If you get him at it with a point to prove, I just think he’s still one of the best players around. If he stays at Man Utd, I think he’ll play, so I just don’t know why we’ve not been interested in him.”

Rashford’s Excellent Loan Spell At Barcelona

Rashford enjoyed a successful loan stint with Barcelona last season, where he contributed significantly in the attacking third. The forward scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists across 49 matches for the Catalan side.

As one of the Premier League’s most skilled attackers, Rashford could prove to be a valuable addition to Tottenham as they navigate the current transfer window.

His contract with Manchester United extends until the summer of 2028, which might complicate Tottenham’s efforts to sign him at a reasonable price this offseason.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Go For Rashford?

Rashford is known for his dribbling ability and can make dangerous runs along the wings. His proven track record as a goal-scorer also allows him to create opportunities for his teammates. While he primarily plays as a left-winger, he is versatile enough to function as a centre-forward or a right-sided player if needed.

With ample Premier League experience, Rashford would likely adapt quickly to life at Tottenham. He could significantly enhance manager Roberto De Zerbi’s attacking options and is capable of securing a lasting starting position at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

At 28, Rashford is in the prime of his career, making him a strategic target for Spurs as they seek to strengthen their squad this transfer window.

Speaking on Sky Sports’ Tottenham summer special podcast, pundit Jamie O’Hara urged his former club Tottenham Hotspur to move in for Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford. O’Hara said,

“I just don’t know why we[Tottenham] don’t go for Marcus Rashford. I really think that Spurs should just go, how much do you want? How much can we get him for? I know he’s on £350,000 a week, and obviously Spurs potentially can’t afford that, but he’s such a brilliant player.

Rashford’s Excellent Loan Spell At Barcelona

Rashford enjoyed an impressive loan spell with Barcelona in the previous campaign as he was responsible for putting in a lot of productive performances for them in the final third. The English talent found the back of the net 14 times and secured 14 assists in 49 appearances for the Catalan club last season in all competitions.

The 28-year-old is currently one of the most talented attackers in the Premier League. Hence, Spurs would do well to lure him to North London in this transfer period.

His current contract at Man United will run out in the summer of 2028, which could make it tough for Tottenham to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi Go For Rashford?

Rashford is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few dangerous runs with it out on the flanks. He has proven himself to be a reliable goal-getter in the final third and can even engineer some promising chances for his teammates to score.

The English sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Rashford mainly plays as a left-winger but can also serve as a centre-forward or operate as a right-sided wide player if needed. He has a wealth of experience in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at Tottenham.

Rashford would bring more quality to Roberto De Zerbi’s frontline. He is capable of nailing down a regular starting place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 28, Rashford is playing in his prime at the moment. Therefore, Spurs would be wise to go for a player of his quality and experience in this transfer window.
