Juventus Secures Jhon Lucumi from Bologna for €19.5 Million
Juventus has officially signed Jhon Lucumi from Bologna for a fee of €19.5 million plus additional add-ons, the club announced.
The 28-year-old Colombia international has penned a contract with the Bianconeri that extends until June 2030.

Lucumi underwent medical examinations in Turin on Sunday, and the club confirmed his signing on Monday morning.

“Juventus Football Club S.p.A. announces that an agreement with Bologna FC 1909 for the definitive acquisition of the registration rights of the player Jhon Janer Lucumí Bonilla has been reached for a consideration of €19.5 million, payable in three financial years, with the addition of ancillary costs up to €0.6 million,” the Juventus statement read.
“Furthermore, bonuses up to a maximum of €2 million are envisaged upon the achievement of further performance objectives. Juventus and the player have signed a contract of employment until 30 June 2030.”

Lucumi made his move to Bologna from Belgian club Genk in the summer of 2022 for €8 million.
During his time with Bologna, the defender made 123 Serie A appearances and scored once.

Throughout his tenure at Bologna, Lucumi also played in eight Champions League matches, scoring once, and was part of the squad that won the Coppa Italia in the 2024-25 season under coach Vincenzo Italiano.
A key player for Colombia, Lucumi represented the national team at the 2026 World Cup, where he made five starts.

Colombia was eliminated in the Round of 16 after a penalty shootout loss to Switzerland.
Lucumi’s arrival marks Juventus’ fourth signing of the summer, following Jeff Ekhator, Randal Kolo Muani, and Kerim Alajbegović. The club is reportedly nearing an agreement with Tottenham for Italy international Guglielmo Vicario.
