Bahia Player Nearly Scores Spectacular Goal from Midfield
Kike Oliveira came dangerously close to netting one of the standout goals of this Brasileirão season during a recent match. The Bahia player accurately spotted São Paulo goalkeeper Rafael off his line and decided to take a bold shot from near the halfway line.
The ball maneuvered slowly toward the goal before passing just outside the net, causing an unexpected reaction. The moment even fooled TV Globo commentator Everaldo Marques, who began enthusiastically yelling “goal” before realizing the ball had missed the target.
It would have marked Bahia’s third goal of the match, following two quick scores within the first ten minutes. São Paulo staged a comeback late in the first half and managed to equalize before halftime.
