Genoa Claims Victory Over Juventus Amid Injury Struggles
Genoa capitalized on two early counter-attacks to secure a decisive win against Juventus, sending the Old Lady deeper into crisis. Kingsley Ehizibue and Tommaso Baldanzi found the back of the net, punishing a sluggish Juventus side.
The injury woes for Juventus continue to mount, with notable players such as Kenan Yildiz, Khephren Thuram, Manuel Locatelli, Nico Gonzalez, Zeki Celik, Francisco Conceicao, Jeff Ekhator, and Kamil Grabara still sidelined. In a strategic change, Nick Woltemade moved to the bench to make room for Kerim Alajbegovic after Juventus had utilized two forwards in their previous two matches.

Genoa’s Vitinha had an opportunity to widen the gap but blasted the ball over the bar after an errant pass from Zhegrova created a counter-attack. On the opposite end, Gleison Bremer attempted to score from a corner but his header missed the target.
Zhegrova made a commendable effort to evade a tackle, forcing Bijlow into a challenging save with his strike from the edge of the box, but Juventus struggled to mount a significant comeback throughout the match.
Only in added time did they come close, when a free kick taken by Teun Koopmeiners struck the underside of the crossbar but failed to cross the goal line.
Ehizibue scored in the 12th minute (G), followed by Baldanzi’s goal in the 29th minute (G).
