Mora Set to Start in Udinese Clash

Rodrigo Mora Shines in Roma’s Draw Against Cagliari as Team Looks Ahead to Udine

Rodrigo Mora continues to show his prowess on the field, demonstrating his skills during Roma’s recent match at the Stadio Olimpico. The 2007-born player had an impressive performance on Tuesday, scoring a crucial header that brought the home team ahead in a tightly contested 2-2 draw against Cagliari.

Despite the draw, Mora stood out as the star of the match, contributing not only with his goal but also by assisting Malen’s final score. The Roman club made a significant investment in the former Porto player, committing €25 million now and the same amount next year. If Roma fails to meet conditions regarding future sales, Porto will secure a 50% share of any such transactions.

Mora’s attention, however, is already on the next challenge. According to reports from La Gazzetta dello Sport, there is a strong likelihood he will start in the upcoming match against Udinese. Given the fatigue evident among the squad, Roma’s three-man midfield setup may not be feasible.

In the 12 matches played this season, Coach Gasperini has opted to start Mora 10 times, only sidelining him during encounters with Inter and Como. Over his appearances, Mora has racked up a total of 425 minutes on the pitch, averaging 42.5 minutes per game. Before facing Cagliari, he not only found the net against Lecce but also played a pivotal role by assisting Malen during the Champions League fixture against Real Madrid. As the squad prepares for Udine, Mora aims to build on his momentum and further contribute to Roma’s success this season.
