This season, Mohya has emerged as a standout performer for Gladbach, participating in all nine matches across various competitions. He notably contributed a goal and an assist during the Foals’ Matchday 7 victory over VfB Stuttgart, marking the team’s first win of the season.

Praising Mohya’s performance against Stuttgart, Head of Sport Rouven Schröder remarked: “The way he dribbles forward, the audacity with which he sets up the goal … Hats off! […] very happy that Wael showed what he’s capable of.”

Head coach Alexander Blessin also commended the promising talent. “He’s a very young guy who’s open and laughs, he doesn’t care too much about pressure,” Blessin said, highlighting Mohya’s attacking strengths. “His ability to relieve pressure in one-on-one situations is crucial.”

Gladbach is set to pursue a third consecutive victory as they host newly promoted Paderborn on 31 October.
