Headline: Real Madrid Names Squad for La Liga Clash Against Racing Santander

Real Madrid is preparing for their La Liga match against Racing Santander tomorrow at El Sardinero in Cantabria. Ahead of the team’s departure to Santander, head coach Jose Mourinho has revealed the list of players available for selection for this important encounter.

In notable news, club captain Federico Valverde will not be part of the squad as Mourinho opts to rest him following a minor injury sustained during last week’s victory over Barcelona in El Clasico. Despite not having a significant injury, Valverde has missed all team training sessions this week, prompting Real Madrid to take a cautious approach with their captain.

On a positive note, first-choice goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois returns to the squad after missing the Clasico due to illness, which had forced his late withdrawal from the lineup. However, Rodrygo Goes, Raul Asencio, and Ferland Mendy will not participate as they continue to recover from their respective injuries.

Additionally, Vinicius Jr. will miss the match due to a four-match suspension, with this upcoming game being the third of that suspension period. Youngster Thiago Pitarch remains in the first-team squad and will look to earn some playing time under Mourinho’s direction.
