Cagliari Fan Injured in Fall from Stadium Stands

Supporter Injured After Cagliari’s Win Against Frosinone

In an unfortunate incident following Cagliari’s 1-0 victory over Frosinone, a supporter fell from the stands as he attempted to salute the players, prompting them to rush to his aid.

According to Sky Sport Italia, the fall took place as the Cagliari team approached the fans to express their gratitude for support several minutes after the match concluded.

Captain Alessandro Deiola and goalkeeper Elia Caprile were among the first to notice the incident and quickly went over to assist the injured fan.

An ambulance, which is routinely positioned on-site during top-tier games, was summoned to transport the supporter to a nearby hospital.

The initial diagnosis indicated that the fan suffered a fractured clavicle; however, there were no further serious complications reported.

If his condition improves as expected, he should be discharged on Sunday and continue his recovery at home.

The Unipol Domus, where Cagliari hosts its matches, is a temporary facility set up while plans to reconstruct the Stadio Sant’Elia were worked through. The old stadium now lies in disrepair, overgrown with vegetation, just a short distance from the current venue.
