Headline: Liverpool’s Florian Wirtz Scores First Goal of the Season Against Crystal Palace
Liverpool has extended their lead in Sunday’s Premier League match against struggling Crystal Palace, and fans were particularly pleased to see Florian Wirtz get on the scoresheet.
The German international found himself at the back post to capitalize on a swift counter-attack orchestrated by Bradley Barcola’s impressive speed.
This marks Wirtz’s first Premier League goal of the season, coming after he took 22 shots across 10 matches. Interestingly, his previous league goal was also against Crystal Palace, dating back to April.
With his 2026/27 account now open, the €125 million signing has a chance to demonstrate his value to Liverpool as the season unfolds.
