Senegal has officially exited the 2026 FIFA World Cup, following their defeat to Belgium in the Round of 32. The Lions of Teranga struggled to make an impact, effectively ending their hopes of advancing to the Round of 16.

With Senegal’s departure, the number of African teams eliminated from the tournament now stands at five. They join DR Congo, Tunisia, South Africa, and Ivory Coast, which have all already concluded their World Cup campaigns.
