Roma Prepares for Key Contract Renewals Ahead of New Season
Roma is preparing to officially announce several contract renewals as the club gears up for the upcoming campaign. The training camp at Trigoria opens on Monday, marking the official start of Gasperini’s second season as Roma coach.
The coach specifically requested the retention of Paulo Dybala, Lorenzo Pellegrini, and Zeki Celik. Meanwhile, Gianluca Mancini has already secured his position at the club.
In a surprising move, Gianluca Mancini will be the third player to sign an extension, following new agreements with Paulo Dybala and Zeki Celik. This renewal for Roma’s number 23 precedes the contract extension for Lorenzo Pellegrini.
Lorenzo Pellegrini may arrive late to the start of the training camp. According to Corriere della Sera, the Giallorossi midfielder has yet to reach a full agreement on his contract renewal. Additionally, he is currently recovering from a physical issue sustained at the end of the season. The camp representing the number 7 is still negotiating the duration and salary terms of the deal.
Gianluca Mancini will extend his contract with the Giallorossi until 2029, with a salary of approximately €3.5 million. Meanwhile, discussions regarding Bryan Cristante remain on hold, despite his current contract also expiring on June 30, 2027.
