Liverpool Eyes Transfer Deal as Arsenal Moves Closer to Signing Tzolis
As the World Cup comes to a close this week, Liverpool supporters are eager for a busy period in the transfer market.
Earlier this summer, Liverpool secured deals for Victor Munoz and Jeremy Jacquet, but little progress has been made since then.

The club’s primary focus is now on finding a replacement for Mohamed Salah, who departed this summer following a mutual agreement to terminate his contract a year early.
After encountering challenges in attempting to sign RB Leipzig’s Yan Diomande, Liverpool appears to have redirected its attention to Bradley Barcola of PSG.
Yet, Liverpool faces competition, as Arsenal has also emerged as a contender for the 23-year-old forward. According to le10sport, Arsenal is prepared to compete with Liverpool for the prized asset.
However, Arsenal may have received a boost today which could open up opportunities for Liverpool to pursue Barcola…
Arsenal Nears €40m Deal for Tzolis
Reports indicate that Arsenal is close to reaching a €40m agreement to sign Christos Tzolis from Club Brugge, as shared by Ben Jacobs.

Jacobs stated on X, “Arsenal reach a €40m agreement with Club Brugge to sign Christos Tzolis. Talks have accelerated rapidly today after #AFC agreed to meet the asking price. Clubs currently formalising the deal.”
“This is separate from their pursuit of Morgan Rogers.”
This development is significant for Liverpool, as Tzolis is a left-winger like Barcola. The Greek forward is anticipated to fill the role left by Leandro Trossard, who recently joined Besiktas.
Jacobs also mentioned that Arsenal is looking to sign Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers, who can also play on the left. If Arsenal secures Rogers, the chances of them acquiring Bradley Barcola would diminish considerably.

With players like Noni Madueke and Bukayo Saka on the opposing flank, the need for Barcola may not persist for Arsenal.
Conversely, Liverpool guarantees Barcola a starting position at the club. The decision now rests with PSG, as any potential contract for Barcola could be contingent on their ability to acquire Yan Diomande from Leipzig. For now, both clubs are expected to wait until after the World Cup for any significant progress.
