Aston Villa Set to Sign Chelsea Forward Alejandro Garnacho on Loan
Aston Villa has emerged as a potential destination for Chelsea forward Alejandro Garnacho, who seems to be searching for a fresh start after a turbulent time with both Chelsea and Manchester United.
Reports indicate that Villa has made significant progress in negotiations to sign the 22-year-old Argentine on a loan deal, which includes a conditional obligation to buy. According to Sky Sports, the terms are regarded as manageable for both clubs.
Fans of Villa might recall that a similar arrangement last season with Harvey Elliott did not yield the desired results, but they will also remember Jadon Sancho, who made a significant impact after transferring under comparable conditions.

In the context of Chelsea’s strategy, the club aims to recoup the approximately $54 million they invested in Garnacho last summer. During his tenure at Chelsea, he made 43 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing four assists. Though his goal tally matched his numbers from Manchester United, his assist record fell short, with only one goal and four assists in the Premier League.
Garnacho’s future looks uncertain at Chelsea, but the club may be relieved to recover their investment while allowing the young player to find his footing elsewhere. Discussions also point toward a potential signing of Auxerre’s Kevin Danois, with a fee around $28.5 million being floated amid interest from multiple Premier League teams and a Championship club.
Danois, who has a contract with Auxerre until 2028, has recorded three goals and one assist in 55 Ligue 1 matches. His performance has been pivotal, as he led the team in tackles, interceptions, and possessions won this season.
Meanwhile, AS Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche is also garnering interest, particularly from Liverpool, with the club looking to find a suitable replacement for Mohamed Salah. Akliouche has had a standout season with seven goals and 11 assists in 43 appearances.
