In a recent post on X, journalist Luca Cerchione claimed that Tottenham Hotspur have launched a move for Manchester City winger Savinho. It is believed that Spurs have made a €70m offer to acquire the services of the Brazilian wide player this summer.

Savinho’s Lack Of First-Team Starts At Man City

Savinho managed to catch the eye at times for the Mancunian giants in the previous campaign despite struggling to earn regular first-team starts for them in the Premier League. The 22-year-old scored four goals and grabbed three assists in 36 matches for Man City last season on all fronts.

The Brazilian talent is currently among the most talented wide players in his homeland. Thus, Spurs would do well to get a deal done for him in this transfer period.

His current contract at the Etihad Stadium will run out in the summer of 2031, which could make it tough for Tottenham to land him on a cut-price deal this off-season.

What Will Savinho Add To Tottenham Hotspur Boss Roberto De Zerbi’s Side?

Savinho is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and can make a few driving runs with it out in the wide areas. He has got the eye to play some killer passes in and around the opponent’s penalty area and can shoot the ball with power from long range.

The Brazilian talent can even chip in by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. However, he has to find a way to earn more first-team starts if he wants to improve as a footballer. Savinho is primarily a left-winger but can also serve as a right-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if needed. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the North London club.

We can expect Savinho to add more firepower to Tottenham head coach Roberto De Zerbi’s attack. He has what it takes to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium next season.

At 22, the future looks quite bright for Savinho as long as he continues to improve with each year. Thus, De Zerbi would be wise to go all out to sign him in this transfer period.
