Fenerbahce is set to engage with the representatives of Rafael Leao in hopes of persuading the AC Milan star to transfer to Turkey this summer. Despite the discussions, reports indicate that Leao, who remains dissatisfied at Milan, is not yet convinced about making the move.
Fenerbahce to offer €10m salary to unconvinced Leao
Leao has been heavily linked with a departure from Milan following seven seasons at the iconic San Siro. The 27-year-old Portugal international reportedly feels the timing is right for a change, particularly after a disappointing conclusion to the 2025-26 season, which saw the Rossoneri fail to qualify for the Champions League.

Currently, Leao is Milan’s top earner. His sale would not only generate a substantial transfer fee but also provide a significant capital gain to reinvest in other areas of the team.
At present, both the club and the player share the sentiment that this might be the right time to part company.
Reports from Calciomercato.com suggest that Milan is looking for a fee around €60m for the former Serie A MVP this summer. The Rossoneri might even consider the option of a loan deal with an obligation to buy.

The challenge lies in finding a buyer who is not only willing to pay the asking price but also can persuade Leao to accept their offer.
Leao is reportedly eager to continue competing at the highest level in Europe, with a preference for playing in England or Spain.
Though there have been rumors of interest from the Premier League, notably Aston Villa and Tottenham Hotspur, the only serious approaches so far have been from Galatasaray and Fenerbahce.

As reported on Thursday, Fenerbahce’s representatives plan to visit Milan soon to meet with Leao’s lawyer and propose a lucrative €10 million-per-season contract in an effort to lure him to Istanbul.
Whether Leao will consider a transfer to the Turkish Super Lig remains uncertain.
