Ellyes Skhiri and Three Attackers Excluded from Eintracht Frankfurt’s Training Camp
Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed on their official website that Tunisian midfielder and centre-back Ellyes Skhiri will not be reporting to the club’s training camp. Reports highlight Skhiri’s impending departure from the club, which has been well-known for some time. According to Köln’s fan site, Geissblog, the chances of the 31-year-old returning to his former club, 1. FC Köln, are reportedly increasing.
In addition to Skhiri, three attackers—Michy Batshuayi, Noel Futkeu, and Jessic Ngankam—are also absent from the training camp. Despite the lack of public comments from Frankfurt regarding their situations, sources indicate that these players are also expected to leave the club. Sport Bild claims that all four players are now free to negotiate their exits from Frankfurt.
Meanwhile, World Cup participants Farés Chaibi (Algeria), Arthur Theate (Belgium), Elye Wahi (Cote d’Ivoire), and Ayoube Amaimouni-Echghouyab (Morocco) remain on special leave. As a result, several U21 and U19 prospects have been given the chance to train with the senior squad during the club’s preparations at Lake Chiemsee.
