Watford Secures Signing of Former Celtic Star Saoirse Noonan
Watford has announced the signing of former Celtic forward Saoirse Noonan on a free transfer. The Golden Girls shared the news through a post on their official club website earlier today.
The 27-year-old joins Watford following her departure from Celtic earlier this summer, after her contract with the Glasgow club ended.

Noonan enjoyed a successful two seasons with Celtic, scoring an impressive 57 goals in 74 appearances. She was the club’s top scorer for two consecutive seasons and recorded five hat-tricks during that time. Last season, she helped secure the Scottish Gas Women’s Scottish Cup for Celtic and also participated in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
She began her career with Cork City in the SSE Airtricity League Women’s Premier Division before moving to Shelbourne, where she had two stints. Noonan also brings experience from her two-year spell with Durham in the Barclays WSL2.
On the international front, Noonan has represented the Republic of Ireland 14 times, scoring two goals.
She becomes Watford’s fourth signing of the summer transfer window as the club works to enhance their squad’s quality.
