Bruno Guimaraes Set to Play for Arsenal in Friendly Against Como 1907

Ryan Taylor reports that Bruno Guimaraes could participate in Arsenal’s friendly match against Como 1907 set for Wednesday at the Emirates Stadium.

Guimaraes engaged in individual training sessions with Arsenal’s fitness coaches last week and was later seen joining a light team practice on the Emirates pitch after Sunday’s match against Borussia Dortmund.

It appears probable that Guimaraes will mirror the patterns of other late returners by playing around 30 minutes on Wednesday to get him ready for a potential start in the subsequent match.

The following game will be the Community Shield encounter against Manchester City, followed by a Premier League opener against Coventry City.

Arsenal is working with a tight schedule to prepare their England and Spain World Cup internationals, who will return to training either on Saturday or Monday, depending on the player.

Fortunately, all players should now be in team training aside from William Saliba and Jurrien Timber. Timber is training alone as he makes progress toward his injury recovery, while Saliba is currently resting to help his back injury heal.

Arsenal may need Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White to reinforce the squad this month, but the remainder of the team should be at full strength, albeit lacking some match sharpness.

Bruno Guimaraes could be involved for Arsenal in Wednesday’s friendly against Como 1907, having taken part in some training sessions last week.

Ryan Taylor reports that there’s a decent chance that Bruno Guimaraes will be involved for Arsenal against Como 1907 in Wednesday’s Emirates Stadium friendly match.

Guimaraes reportedly did individual training with Arsenal’s fitness coaches last week, and he was then spotted taking part in a light team session on the Emirates pitch after the Borussia Dortmund match on Sunday.

As a result, perhaps the most likely outcome is that Guimaraes follows in the footsteps of Arsenal’s other late returners by playing 30 minutes on Wednesday to prepare him a possible start in the following game.

Of course, in this case, the following game is the Community Shield match against Manchester City. And that will be followed by the Premier League opener against Coventry City.

Arsenal have a very tight turnaround to get their England and Spain World Cup internationals ready in time for those games, with those players only returning to training on Saturday or Monday – depending on the player.

The good news is that everyone should now be in team training except William Saliba and Jurrien Timber. Timber is training individually as he edges closer to his injury comeback, whilst Saliba is currently in a period of complete rest to allow his back injury to settle.

Arsenal will likely need Cristhian Mosquera and Ben White to step into the team this month, but the rest of the side should be full strength, if a little out of recent practice.
