Rotherham have confirmed the signing of 6ft 6ins Brentford goalkeeper Julian Eyestone on a season-long loan.

The 20-year-old from Texas is a US youth international and trained with the senior squad during their World Cup campaign earlier this summer.

Eyestone joined Brentford in 2024 and previously served as a substitute during their third-round FA Cup match against Sheffield Wednesday in January.

He played a key role in helping Brentford’s Under-21s reach the final of the Premier League Cup, earning a promotion to the first team squad a year ago.

As the Millers aim to make an immediate return to League One following their relegation, Eyestone will vie with Ted Cann for the starting goalkeeper position.

Rotherham will begin their league season at Cheltenham Town on Saturday.
