Former Juventus and Fiorentina striker Dusan Vlahovic has reached an agreement on a three-year contract with Besiktas, according to reports from Turkiye. This move reunites him with Vincenzo Italiano.

The centre-forward found himself a free agent after his contract with Juventus expired on June 30.

Vlahovic had anticipated numerous offers from clubs such as Milan, Napoli, and Roma in Serie A, as well as Atletico Madrid, Arsenal, and Manchester United internationally.

However, no club met his salary expectations.

Vlahovic Accepts Besiktas Offer

As reported by Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Vlahovic has finalized personal terms with Besiktas.

His new contract is reportedly valued at €8 million per season, with performance-related bonuses that could bring the total to €10 million.

Vlahovic and his agent stand to gain a significant signing-on fee for joining the Turkish club.

A Spor reports that Besiktas chief Serdal Adali traveled to Belgrade to finalize the details, planning to return to Istanbul’s Ataturk General Aviation Terminal on Wednesday, August 12, at 2:30 PM local time.

This transfer marks a success for Italiano, who has been seeking to reunite with Vlahovic, a player he previously worked with during a highly productive season at Fiorentina.

At 26 years old, the Serbia international departs Serie A after first joining Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018. He transferred to Juventus in January 2022 for a fee of €85.4 million while also involved in a contractual dispute.

However, nobody was prepared to meet his salary demands.

According to Turkish transfer pundit Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Vlahovic finally agreed personal terms with Besiktas this evening.

It is set to be a three-year contract worth €8m per season, plus performance-related bonuses to reach €10m.

Vlahovic and his agent can also receive a large signing-on fee for joining the club.

According to A Spor, Besiktas chief Serdal Adali flew to Belgrade to finalise the paperwork, and will return to Istanbul’s Ataturk General Aviation Terminal on Wednesday August 12 at 2.30pm local time.

It is a victory for Italiano, who has wanted a reunion with the player he already worked with during the most prolific campaign at Fiorentina.

The 26-year-old Serbia international therefore leaves Serie A after coming to Fiorentina from Partizan Belgrade in 2018.

He was sold to Juventus in January 2022 for €85.4m, when he was also in the middle of a contract dispute.
