Inter Milan Finalizes Sale of Matteo Motta to Pescara, Eyes Move for Luca Reggiani
Inter Milan has officially sold Matteo Motta to Pescara while retaining 50 percent of any future transfer fee. The decision comes after Motta’s loan stint at Lumezzane, as the Nerazzurri continue to reshape their squad.
Motta, a 21-year-old left-back, never made an appearance for Inter’s senior team. As part of the deal with Pescara, half of the revenue from any prospective sale will benefit Inter.
In related transfers, the club has reportedly expressed interest in acquiring Italian defender Luca Reggiani from Borussia Dortmund. According to reports from Bild in Germany, Inter has reached out to Dortmund regarding the availability of the 18-year-old player.
Reggiani, a product of the Sassuolo youth academy, joined Dortmund in February 2024. He has since made a name for himself, even earning a senior cap for Italy at the age of 18 in June 2026.
However, sources suggest that Inter may face challenges in securing Reggiani’s services. Dortmund is keen on retaining the young talent, especially after recently renewing his contract.
As Inter Milan seeks to strengthen its defense, the club has decided to withdraw from negotiations for Cristian Romero of Tottenham Hotspur, who is now set for a medical ahead of a €40 million transfer to Atletico Madrid.
Inter officially sold Matteo Motta to Pescara, keeping 50 per cent of the sell-on fee, but have reportedly asked Borussia Dortmund for Italian talent Luca Reggiani.
The Nerazzurri completed the sale of youth academy product Motta to Serie C outfit Pescara today, after his loan experience at Lumezzane.

A product of the Sassuolo youth academy, he moved to Borussia Dortmund in February 2024.
There he flourished, earning a senior Italy cap at the age of 18 in June 2026.
However, the report is not encouraging about Inter’s chances of getting a deal, as Dortmund want to keep hold of their Italian talent, having only recently extended his contract.
Inter still need a central defender and backed out of the pursuit for Tottenham Hotspur’s Argentina international Cristian Romero, who instead is undergoing a medical for his €40m move to Atletico Madrid.
