Headline: The Hundred Announces Inaugural Combined Trophy for Top Men’s and Women’s Teams

The Hundred will present its first-ever trophy to the leading team across the men’s and women’s formats this weekend.

Named the Hundred Helix trophy by fans, it will be awarded to the team that accumulates the most points across both competitions, which have been running together since 2021.

Trent Rockets have locked in their claim to the 2026 Helix trophy after automatically qualifying for both the men’s and women’s finals. They currently hold 60 points, outpacing Sunrisers Leeds, who sit in second place with 44 points.

This announcement has sparked curiosity about which other sports might benefit from a similar combined award.

Premier League and Women’s Super League

In the realm of football, despite Manchester City’s triumph in the Women’s Super League, Arsenal would secure the top spot in a combined 2025-26 Premier League and WSL table. The Gunners lead by a slim three-point margin, thanks to their seven-point advantage over Manchester City at the end of the Premier League season.

Both Erling Haaland and Khadija Shaw, who together scored 48 league goals last season, form a formidable attacking duo. Meanwhile, Chelsea, despite finishing 10th in the Premier League, fares better overall, sitting fourth due to a strong finish in the WSL.

At the opposite end, West Ham ranks bottom among the clubs that participated in both leagues, amassing a total of 58 points.

    Six Nations

In rugby, it’s no surprise that Men’s Six Nations champions France dominate the combined Six Nations table for 2026. Les Bleus lost just two matches across both tournaments, achieving eight wins and a total of 21 points in each.

Although England maintains an unblemished record in the women’s Six Nations, their overall second place in the combined table stems from only one win in the men’s competition.

Wales, unfortunately, lands at the bottom of the combined rankings with just 11 points after a disappointing finish in both contests.

    Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup

For golf fans, merging points from two different competitions over two years reveals how a combined European team would stack up against a United States team.

Europe clinched a narrow two-point victory in the 2025 Ryder Cup, but this was not sufficient, as the US edged ahead with a three-point win in the 2024 Solheim Cup.

As discussions continue, many wonder if this idea could be expanded to other sports as a fun experiment. Feedback is welcome in the comments section.

The Hundred will award a trophy to the top combined team across the men’s and women’s formats for the first time this weekend.

The fan-named Hundred Helix trophy will go to the team who have earned the most points across the two competitions, which have been played alongside each other since 2021.

Trent Rockets are guaranteed to pick up the 2026 Helix trophy after qualifying automatically for both the men’s and women’s final. They have 60 points – 16 more than Sunrisers Leeds in second.

The concept has got us thinking – who would come out on top using a similar combined award in other sports?

Premier League and Women’s Super League

Despite Manchester City’s Women’s Super League win, it’s Arsenal who would come out on top in a combined 2025-26 Premier League and WSL table.

The Gunners get over the line by three points thanks to their seven-point advantage over Man City at the end of the Premier League season.

A formidable strikeforce of Erling Haaland and Khadija Shaw is a scary thought though – the pair netted a combined total of 48 league goals last season.

Despite a 10th-placed finish in the Premier League, Chelsea are fourth thanks to finishing third in the WSL.

West Ham are bottom of the clubs that competed in both competitions, amassing a total of 58 points.

    Six Nations

It’s perhaps no surprise that Men’s Six Nations champions France top the combined Six Nations table for 2026. Les Bleus lost just two matches across both competitions, racking up eight wins and 21 points in each.

England’s flawless record in the women’s Six Nations is only enough for second in the combined table due to just a single win in the men’s competition.

Wales are bottom of the combined rank with 11 points after finishing at the foot of the table in both competitions.

    Ryder Cup and Solheim Cup

We have to merge the points from two different golf competitions across two years to get a picture of how a combined European side would fare against a combined USA team.

Europe’s two-point victory in the 2025 Ryder Cup isn’t enough to get them over the line, with the US just edging it thanks to their three-point win in the Solheim Cup in 2024.

So, what do you think? Is this a good idea, and could it be adopted for other competitions as a fun aside? Let us know in the comments.
