According to reports in Italy, Lazio will pay Ajax a fee of €3m for the loan during the 2026-27 season, with an option to secure a permanent transfer for an additional €7.5m in the future.
Sutalo has been with Ajax for the past three seasons after transferring from Dinamo Zagreb in a deal worth €20.5m during the summer of 2023. Since then, he has made 76 appearances in the Eredivisie and a total of 108 across all competitions. In the 2024-25 season, he earned a spot in the Eredivisie team of the season.
The 26-year-old centre-back has also represented Croatia at the international level, earning 37 caps.
