Headline: Rodrigo Mora Joins Roma as Coach Praises Player’s Growth

The Rodrigo Mora saga has concluded positively for Roma as Gian Piero Gasperini embraces the new Giallorossi number 86, focusing on integrating him into the squad ahead of their match against Fiorentina.

In a recent discussion, Francesco Farioli, the coach at the player’s previous club in Portugal, shared his perspective on Mora’s time at Porto. He reflected on the past season, stating, “I sincerely believe it was a positive season. First of all, he leaves the club as a champion. He leaves Porto with two more titles under his belt and with a very honest and fair relationship between me and him.”

Farioli addressed speculation regarding his intent to push Mora out of the club, asserting, “Everything that was said about me trying to oust him from the club is absolutely false. I think I tried to help him according to my own understanding and vision of football. I think Rodrigo is a more complete player today. He has the same talent he had 14 months ago, but today he is a team player.”

The former Nice and Ajax coach expressed unwavering confidence in Mora’s development, stating, “I’m absolutely certain that what he’s learned this year will be very, very useful for his career, for his next chapter at Roma, and wherever he ends up playing. This is my assessment of Rodrigo’s situation. He’s a boy who’s been extraordinary with us. He didn’t play the last match because the deal was very close to being concluded.”

The Rodrigo Mora saga has ended on a positive note for Roma.

Gian Piero Gasperini welcomed the new Giallorossi number 86 and is now focusing on throwing him straight into the fray against Fiorentina.

In Portugal, Francesco Farioli had a say in the matter.

Contrary to what he had said in the last two weeks, the Italian coach defended the work done with the 2007-born player: “I sincerely believe it was a positive season. First of all, he leaves the club as a champion. He leaves Porto with two more titles under his belt and with a very honest and fair relationship between me and him.”

“Everything that was said about me trying to oust him from the club is absolutely false. I think I tried to help him according to my own understanding and vision of football. I think Rodrigo is a more complete player today. He has the same talent he had 14 months ago, but today he is a team player.”

The former Nice and Ajax coach has no doubts that the player has grown during this period: “I’m absolutely certain that what he’s learned this year will be very, very useful for his career, for his next chapter at Roma, and wherever he ends up playing. This is my assessment of Rodrigo’s situation. He’s a boy who’s been extraordinary with us. He didn’t play the last match because the deal was very close to being concluded.”
