“When I was young, I wasn’t watching women’s football,” she said. “I don’t think there was any way to actually watch the league or the Champions League at that moment. I wish I could have had the facilities that all these kids have now to be able to enjoy the women’s football that we play.”

“This is a good story because my brother was a big, big fan of Cesc Fàbregas. So we did watch and follow Arsenal, because my brother was a big fan of Fàbregas when he was here.”
Additionally, Arsenal’s ability to consistently attract large attendances was another factor in her decision. During her time at United, she played in front of a near-sold-out Emirates, but she now looks forward to making it her home.
“That’s one of the most exciting moments I’m looking forward to. It’s one of the beauties of this club, how they’re so connected to the fans and how they’ve been in the history of the club, I wanted to be a part of it.”

“I’m very excited to try to link up again with her and try to make her score goals.”
