Goncalo Ramos Shines in AC Milan’s 2-0 Victory Over Venezia

Goncalo Ramos emphasized AC Milan’s commitment to winning while enjoying their football after netting his first goal at San Siro. The Rossoneri continued their perfect start to the season by defeating Venezia 2-0, although it proved a challenging task to breach their defense.

Similar to their 2-1 victory against Torino, the match required an infusion of energy from the substitutes, with Alexis Saelemaekers stepping up.

He assisted Ramos for the opening goal, then set up Ardon Jashari, whose effort deflected in off Redouane Halhal for the second goal.

    Ramos Enjoys Playing for Milan

“It’s an amazing feeling, but the essential aspect is to secure the win, and I am pleased to achieve that,” Ramos commented to DAZN Italia.

After initially squandering several chances, Ramos finally scored on his debut at San Siro. Reflecting on the moment, he said, “Maybe I wanted to score my first goal under the iconic Curva Sud! I should have scored more, but winning is what matters most.”

This Milan squad notably includes several Portuguese players, led by coach Ruben Amorim, alongside Ramos and recent addition Diego Moreira, despite Rafael Leao’s upcoming move to Galatasaray.

Ramos added, “It’s evident on the pitch that we have our distinct style and mentality. We aspire to win every match while relishing the football we play. Everyone makes me feel welcome, and I already feel at home here, which is fantastic.”

Milan’s attacking efforts saw Ramos creating multiple opportunities against the Venezia defense, resulting in several important saves from goalkeeper Filip Stankovic. Yunus Musah also came close, hitting the crossbar from a short distance.

“I feel great; this team is wonderful, and the coach is instilling clear concepts that reflect in our play,” Musah stated to DAZN Italia. “I’ve had good experiences over my two seasons here with various coaches, and now I have a coach who believes in me, which is encouraging.”

Goncalo Ramos insists Milan ‘want to win every game and also enjoy our football’ after scoring his first goal at San Siro, while Yunus Musah can see ‘clear ideas.’

The Rossoneri maintained their 100 per cent start to the season by beating Venezia 2-0, but it was once again a very tough task to break down their opponents.

Just like the 2-1 win away to Torino, it required a spark of fresh energy from the substitute’s bench, this time from Alexis Saelemaekers.

He provided the assist for the Goncalo Ramos angled drive, and then sent Ardon Jashari clear for the goal that went in off Redouane Halhal in a lucky ricochet.

“It’s amazing feeling, but at the end the important thing is to win, and I am happy to win again,” Ramos told DAZN Italia.

Ramos managed to score his first goal for Milan, on his debut at San Siro, but had wasted several big chances in the match before that breakthrough moment.

Did he hold off because he wanted to score his first goal under the iconic Curva Sud?

“Maybe that’s it! I need to score more than one goal today, but we won and that’s the most important thing.”

This is a very Portuguese Milan side that is developing, with coach Ruben Amorim, Goncalo Ramos and new signing Diego Moreira, even if Rafael Leao is heading to Galatasaray.

“It’s clear on the pitch our DNA, our new mentality, we want to play football and win every game, but at the same time we want to enjoy our football. We are here to win, but also to have fun. It is very easy to be here, everyone helps me every day, I feel at home already and that’s an amazing feeling.”

The former Paris Saint-Germain striker forced a few saves from Filip Stankovic and turned a couple of others off target, while Yunus Musah fired onto the crossbar from close range.

“I feel very good, it’s a wonderful team and the coach is letting us step onto the field with clear ideas, and you can see the result,” Musah told DAZN Italia.

“I had two seasons here that were good with Pioli, Fonseca, Conceicao, there was a difficult period for the whole team. I had great moments too, I went on loan and returned, now there is a coach who has faith in me, and I also have more experience.”
