Substitute Aaron Rowe made an immediate impact, scoring the decisive goal on his debut as Hornchurch defeated Woking, climbing to fourth place in the National League standings.

In a tightly contested match, Hornchurch created several opportunities to break the deadlock before half-time, but Woking’s goalkeeper, Will Jaaskelainen, made impressive saves to thwart efforts from Josh Walker and Jack Powell.

Hornchurch finally found the back of the net with 15 minutes remaining, as Rowe’s strike found its way into the corner of the net.

Woking ramped up their efforts to secure an equaliser in the final moments of the match but were unable to convert.
