Milan midfielder Youssouf Fofana has reportedly agreed to a loan transfer to Galatasaray, with a potential option to buy included in the deal.

New coach Ruben Amorim has not included the Frenchman in his plans for the current season, leading to his exclusion from the squad over the summer.

He is the one most likely to find a new club compared to other outcasts, such as Fikayo Tomori, Santiago Gimenez, and Warren Bondo.

Reportedly, Fofana is enthusiastic about joining Galatasaray, where he would reunite with former teammate Rafael Leao. However, there remain uncertainties regarding whether the agreement will constitute a straightforward loan or if it will feature an option to buy the player.

Milan seems to prefer a permanent sale for Fofana this summer rather than a loan. The player, who is contracted with the club until June 2028, has also caught the interest of other teams, including Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace, and Besiktas.

According to transfer pundits Fabrizio Romano and Yagiz Sabuncuoglu, Fofana is eager to make the move to Galatasaray, where he would reunite with Rafael Leao.

There is some dispute over whether this is going to be a pure loan, or with an option to buy attached.

While the player is ready to come to Istanbul, Milan still need to be convinced, as they would much prefer a permanent sale this summer.

Fofana is under contract at San Siro until June 2028 and has also been targeted by the likes of Brighton and Hove Albion, Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Besiktas.
