Soungoutou Magassa Expected to Depart West Ham as Transfer Window Nears Closure

Soungoutou Magassa, a 22-year-old midfielder, is likely to leave West Ham United before the upcoming transfer window closes. The young France international has captured interest primarily from Spain and Italy, according to information from Foot Mercato.

Since West Ham’s relegation to Ligue 2, Magassa has not made any appearances for the team. The club has been eager to offload him, and interest in the former AS Monaco player has been considerable. While earlier in the transfer window there was potential interest from Germany, Spain and Italy have now become the most probable destinations.

Foot Mercato reports that both Bologna and Sevilla have put forward bids for Magassa. These proposals consist of loan agreements with obligatory purchase options included. West Ham is reportedly leaning towards accepting these offers. Although there was also interest from Germany’s Red Bull Leipzig and a possibility for a return to France with Lille OSC, both only initiated inquiries rather than formal bids for the midfielder.

Soungoutou Magassa (22) is set to leave West Ham United before the closure of the transfer window. Spain and Italy are the most likely destinations for the France youth international, Foot Mercato understands.

Following West Ham’s relegation to Ligue 2, Magassa has failed to make an appearance. He is a player that WHU have been keen to offload. And there has been no shortage of interest in the former AS Monaco midfielder. Earlier in the window, there was interest from Germany. However, Spain and Italy are now his most likely destinations.

Foot Mercato understands that both Bologna and Sevilla have submitted bids. Both are paid loan deals that include obligatory purchase options. West Ham are inclined to accept these bids. There had also been interest from Germany in the form of Red Bull Leipzig, whilst Lille OSC could have offered Magassa a return France. Both, however, only made enquiries for the midfielder.
