São Paulo and Bahia Set to Clash in Brasileirão Matchday 33
São Paulo and Bahia will face each other this Wednesday, the 28th, at 9:30 p.m. (Brasília time) at Arena Fonte Nova as part of Matchday 33 of the 2026 Brasileirão.
Currently sitting ninth on the league table, São Paulo has 43 points and is still in the hunt for a top-five finish. In contrast, Bahia, who remain seventh with 50 points, comes into this match after two league matches without a win.
In a strategic shift for the upcoming game, Bahia’s coach Rogério Ceni has decided to make changes to the lineup, bringing in Marco Moreno and Jean Lucas to replace Kanu and Erick, respectively, following their last match, a 1-1 draw with Santos.
São Paulo, also coming off a 1-1 draw against Mirassol, will see coach Dorival Júnior make several alterations to the team. He has opted to include Sabino, Pablo Maia, Wendell, and Calleri in place of Osório, Djhordney, Iago, and Marcos Antônio.
