Headline: Real Madrid Players Celebrate Mourinho After Victory Over Barcelona
Real Madrid’s win against Barcelona at the Spotify Camp Nou on Sunday meant more than just securing three points. The 2-1 victory reduced the gap to three points behind La Liga leaders and showcased the effectiveness of Jose Mourinho’s tactics.
Following the match, players of Real Madrid celebrated their triumph by lifting Mourinho and tossing him into the air in the dressing room. This act, reported by Jesus Gallego on Cadena SER’s El Larguero, was seen as a strong display of unity between the Portuguese manager and his team.

The celebrations reportedly occurred right after the final whistle, away from the media’s eye. Gallego noted that this incident became a popular topic of conversation among the players during their return journey from Barcelona to Madrid.

Interestingly, this celebration evoked memories of Mourinho’s initial tenure at the club, when players lifted him after their 2011 Copa del Rey win over Barcelona, as well as their 2012 La Liga victory.

Mourinho’s relationship with the players has evolved since the beginning of summer, and the squad seems well gelled now.
Mourinho is now working to bring titles back to the Spanish capital in his second stint.

Real Madrid’s defense functioned well, working as a unit, exploiting Barcelona’s vulnerabilities, and showing a desire to outperform the opposition. This celebration reflects the team’s acceptance of Mourinho’s approach.
A win at the Camp Nou against the league leaders has the potential to energize the entire squad. However, Mourinho is aware not to become complacent. With a streak of five consecutive wins, he aims to maintain the momentum heading into Sunday’s match.
It remains to be seen how Real Madrid will sustain their performance and how Mourinho’s second term at the club will unfold.
