Thibaut Courtois Returns to Training, Set to Start Against Racing de Santander
Thibaut Courtois participated in training with his teammates today and is slated to start next Sunday against Racing de Santander at El Sardinero. The Belgian goalkeeper had to miss El Clásico due to the flu. Now, nearly a week later, he has made a full recovery and will join Mourinho’s squad for the upcoming match.
Arda Güller also took part in training sessions, while Fede Valverde is expected to join the squad tomorrow prior to their trip to Santander.
The Portuguese coach will have nearly all of his players available for the match, with the exceptions of Rodrygo and Asencio, who are still in the recovery phase from their injuries. Additionally, Vinícius will be absent due to suspension.
Real Madrid faces a busy schedule leading up to the international break, set to play a match every three days. This Sunday, they will take on Racing, followed by a trip to AEK Athens for a Champions League match on Wednesday, and another away game at Mestalla the next weekend.
