Quique Sanchez Flores Hails Barcelona
Despite Barcelona’s recent back-to-back losses, Sanchez Flores insisted he has discovered “no cracks” in the Catalan side, although he did caution that “that doesn’t mean one might appear tomorrow.”
Flores expressed his admiration for the current La Liga champions, calling them the ‘benchmark’ club in both La Liga and Europe.
“It is an extremely demanding match” due to the fact that his opponents “do a lot of things well,” he explained.

Continuing, the Alaves head coach said, “They are the benchmark team in La Liga and in Europe. Their style of play includes deeply ingrained elements that cannot be changed because they execute them so well.”
He further praised the league leaders, noting: “Barça play well. They position themselves well in attack and have improved their defensive organization.”
This situation leads Flores to emphasize that Alaves must be “very clinical and concede as little as possible” to have any chance of success at the Spotify Camp Nou.

However, their winning streak came to a halt last week, with PSG defeating the Catalans 4-2 in European competition, followed by a 2-1 loss to Real Madrid in El Clasico.
This context makes it crucial for Barcelona to respond strongly and return to form, especially with significant matches on the horizon against teams like Aston Villa and Atletico Madrid.
In contrast, Alaves approaches the game without a win in their last six outings, with their previous match concluding in a 1-1 draw against Malaga, offering Barcelona a prime opportunity to regain their momentum.
