Chelsea Secures 2-0 Victory Over 10-Man Manchester United

Chelsea’s manager Xabi Alonso expressed satisfaction with his team’s performance as the Blues defeated 10-man Manchester United 2-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday.

The match began with Manchester United appearing more spirited than in previous encounters, and they nearly took an early lead. However, Matheus Cunha had a goal disallowed due to an offside call, leaving the scoreline unchanged at halftime.

After the break, Chelsea found the net and further capitalized on their advantage when Lisandro Martinez received a red card around the hour mark, leaving United with 10 players. Estevao Willian stood out in the match, having a goal ruled out for a narrow offside prior to a fantastic save by United’s Senne Lammens that denied another great Chelsea opportunity.

From that point onward, Chelsea dominated the game, allowing Alonso’s squad to level with Brighton in third place ahead of the Seagulls’ match against Manchester City.
