Manchester City experienced disappointment for the second week running in the Premier League, following a 2-1 loss to Aston Villa with a narrow 1-0 defeat at home to Brighton.

The home side fell behind in the 11th minute and struggled to recover throughout the match.

Despite their efforts, Enzo Maresca’s team managed 21 shots, achieved an expected goals (XG) total of 1.92, and created five significant chances at the Etihad.

On another occasion, City might have turned the game around after conceding first; however, Brighton’s goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen delivered a remarkable performance, thwarting attempts from Erling Haaland and others.
