Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry Injured in Latest Matches

Bayern Munich Faces Injury Concerns After Classic Clash Against Borussia Dortmund

Bayern Munich’s match against Borussia Dortmund on Saturday night saw key players Ismael Saibari and Serge Gnabry sidelined due to injuries. The incident unfolded early in the game, just 24 minutes in, when Saibari broke through on goal. However, he was denied by goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, resulting in a collision that left the Moroccan down on the pitch nursing an ankle injury. Following treatment, Saibari was substituted for Nathaniel Brown in the 29th minute.

Despite protests from Bayern fans, referee Tobias Stieler opted not to take any disciplinary action for the incident. Former referee Patrick Ittrich analyzed the situation during Sky Germany’s broadcast, stating, “You can clearly see that Kobel was definitely ahead of him to the ball. An unfortunate incident.”

Just two minutes later, Gnabry also fell to the ground but managed to leave the pitch without assistance. His injury adds to Bayern’s growing list of absentees, which already includes Luis Diaz and Jamal Musiala.

As of now, there is no official diagnosis for either Saibari or Gnabry, leaving fans uncertain about the potential timeline for their return.
