Milan Reaches Agreement in Principle for New Head of Football Krösche

Milan Set to Appoint Markus Krösche as Head of Football

Milan is on the verge of officially naming Markus Krösche as the club’s new Head of Football, with various Italian media outlets indicating that the Rossoneri have secured a verbal agreement, or an agreement in principle, with the former executive of Eintracht Frankfurt and RB Leipzig.

Milan have agreement in place with Krösche

Reports from prominent journalists including Fabrizio Romano and Gianluca Di Marzio confirmed on Saturday evening that Milan has reached a verbal agreement with Krösche, who is likely to take on the role of Head of Football.

Gerry Cardinale, a key figure in Milan’s management, signaled that an official announcement regarding Krösche’s appointment will occur ‘very soon,’ likely before the highly anticipated Derby della Madonnina.

Milan has actively pursued Krösche since the summer, initiating a restructuring of their senior management following the dismissal of head coach Massimiliano Allegri, sporting director Igli Tare, technical director Geoffrey Moncada, and CEO Giorgio Furlani immediately after the conclusion of the 2025-26 season.

As of now, Massimo Calvelli operates as CEO, while Hendrik Almstadt handles player trading, with Bobby Gardiner managing football intelligence. Krösche is now poised to supervise the club’s sporting operations in the Head of Football position.

Milan’s efforts to secure Krösche have been ongoing for several months, though earlier attempts to finalize a deal with Eintracht Frankfurt during the summer transfer window were unsuccessful. Though he recently departed from Frankfurt, it appears the club may still expect compensation should Krösche take up his new position prior to the summer of 2027.

Latest reports suggest that Milan aims to officially introduce Krösche by the start of December.
