Headline: Udinese Faces Defeat as Roma Secures 5-2 Victory
Udinese experienced a challenging match against AS Roma, concluding with a disappointing 2-5 scoreline that left their home crowd expressing discontent through boos. This loss highlights the ongoing struggles for the Bianconeri as they seek to turn their fortunes around.
Following the match, Udinese’s head coach, Kosta Runjaic, addressed the team’s performance in an interview with DAZN.
“Until the first goal, we were playing as we wanted, for the first nine minutes. After the first goal, a one-on-one duel, we conceded other, too easy, duels, losing them. Roma showed their quality and capitalized on every mistake,” Runjaic stated.
He added, “We’ve been conceding too many easy goals since the start of the season. The first goal was a one-on-one duel, the third was a long ball. When duels are lost, you end up conceding goals.”
Runjaic acknowledged the limited preparation time leading up to this match, emphasizing, “There wasn’t time to work this week, but we’re focusing on these things and we’re aware of the areas we need to improve. Roma scored these goals with fantastic quality. Looking at the attitude of some players, the mentality and approach weren’t enough.”
