West Ham has dismissed manager Nuno Espirito Santo following consecutive losses in the Championship.
The team’s push for promotion has faltered after defeats against Southampton and West Brom at the London Stadium, leaving the club in 8th place after 13 matches.

Nuno, who led West Ham to relegation from the Premier League last season, had aimed to secure an immediate return to the top tier.
A statement from the club declared: “West Ham United can confirm that men’s first-team Head Coach Nuno Espírito Santo has left his position with immediate effect.
“Following a thorough review of the start to the EFL Championship season, the board of directors believe that a change is necessary at this time in order to ensure that the club’s objectives and expectations remain on track.”
In the interim, former West Ham captain Mark Noble, alongside Steve Potts and Gerard Prenderville, will take charge for the upcoming match against Cardiff.

The club further announced that the search for a new head coach is currently underway, with Nuno’s assistant, Rui Pedro Silva, and goalkeeper coach, Rui Barbosa, also leaving the organization.
“West Ham would like to thank Nuno, Rui, and Rui for their hard work and commitment during their time at the club, and wish them all the very best for the future,” the statement concluded.
